Development

The design and development took about 4 months, which was relatively quick when you consider that the chamber is run by volunteers who give up their time.

Testing the functionality of the calendar and members directory was also time-consuming, but with a lot of hard work on both sides we got there!

Launch

The website was launched in September 2016 to a good reception. Subsequently it has been good to see the website being used by local businesses and has generated many enquiries and functions as an information hub for the chamber and its members.

portfolio-evans

The Brief

Dan Evans has been a long-time client of LGW and when he started winning business awards decided it was time to make his site look as good as it performed!

The new site had to maintain its conversion rate whilst re-arranging the content layout into something that worked across all screen sizes.

Development

There were too many elements on the original site so a lot of the initial work was on teh design and how we could position things better and what was really needed to be above the fold.

It took a number of revisions to get to the final version but was worth the wait as both PC and mobile versions were wonderfully received.

Launch

The site was launched in June 2016 and a few months later we also effected a domain transfer which involves moving te company website to a new domain, redirecting the old URLS and informing Google who will redirect search results.

Paramount Nautical

Brief

Paramount Nautical are a modern company in an historic, even antiquated, industry – maritime and naval maps and charts.

They wanted to haul the industry into the 21st Century by being the first supplier to go 100% digital!

Unfortunately the industry wasn’t ready for that and the reality was that most of their clients still wanted their maps and charts on paper as always!

This prompted a change in the original design which was bold, daring and a long way from the visual conventions prevalent in the industry online – to something a bit more traditional and, most importantly, reflective of their customer base.

The fact is that sometimes ideas just don’t work in certain industries and you just have to rip it up and start again!

Deliverables;

website built on optimised version of WordPress
custom-designed from the ground up
multiple revisions of design and layout – one total change in approach included
lead-capture forms
fully mobile-responsive
integrated with Google Maps
Google My Business pages set-up
Google Webmaster Tools set-up and configured
Google analytics configured and installed
Security and back-up plugins installed and configured

Development

The design and development took about 4 months, which was longer than expected, but the client is happy (as evidenced by the 5-Star Google review) with the final result and most importantly the site is working for it’s users.

Launch

The website was launched in March 2017 on LGW’s optimised WordPress server and has performed well since, including regular content updates.

D & D Rail

Brief

DD Rail are a relatively large railway construction company with hundreds of London building projects under their belt. They write case studies and take photos of all their works and post these on their website so that potential clients can see the work that they do.

They were also keen to showcase their work in a more visual manner, but with so many projects were unsure how this could be achieved.

The site also needed many company pages for the team and all the policies and certifications that are required

Development

To represent their work visually we came up with the idea of an interactive map based on the London Underground system, with the stations they have refurbished represented by ‘places pins’, together with an info box and a link to the full case-study.

You can see the interactive map here (desktop only) – http://www.ddrail.com/map/

In this project there were also over 100 content pages of case studies and 1500 images that need to be transfered and formatted!

Launch

The site was launched in March 2017.

A project of this size and complexity is never without issues but the end result was extremely well received by the client and the feedback they got back from users was all positive, especially for the interactive map which is unique among their competitors and relly marks them out as a modern forward-thinking company.

We continue to work with DD Rail to maintain and update the website.

UHM Basements

Brief

UHM had an unfinished site up, but also had a good idea of what they actually wanted.

Essentially this was a regular project for LGW – a business site that needed to be visible in Google, generate leads but also look good and display case-studies and images of completed projects.

Development

The development was without problems as LGW have delivered projects like this many times before.

Launch

The site was launched in April 2017 and immedately entered our LOLGS program where the site continues to climb the Google rankings.

Deliverables;

events calendar showing dates of cruises
downloadable booking form
fully mobile-responsive

Google Webmaster Tools set-up and configured

Development

The design and development took just 6 weeks as there was a deadline to hit as the first cruise of the season was imminent

A long-term client decided it was time to revamp their website which they’d had for three or four years.

Development

There was a change of brand colours and a new logo which was incorporated into the design.

About 2000 words of additional content was written to beef up what was ‘thin’ content on service pages. It is necessary to have a reasonable amount of content on page sthat you wish to rank as Google prefers sites that are infromative.

Launch

The website was launched in November 2016 and went into the content creation and syndication phase to increase Google visibility and generate leads.

portfolio-emia

Brief

A new client, a dentist from Gravesend, was going through some business changes and required a new website.

So this was a Local Online Lead Generation System project with a custom design upgrade which included professional, custom photography.

Development

The development phase went very smoothly as the client was highy motivated to get the website up quickly and so was sure to respond to our requests.

The issues where not around the website development but the domain name which had been registered by a partner who had subsequently left the practice. This meant that no log-ins were available and the old webmaster was located in Lithuania!

LGW contacted Nominet and provided the required evidence to get the domain name back under control so the site could be launched.

Launch

The website was launched in March 2016 and went into the six month content creation and syndication phase to increase Google visibility and generate leads.

Results were good with first page rankings achieved in what is a competitive local market

Development

This project grew with the initial month set aside for development mushrooming into three as a result of additional requirements incorporated as the site was developed.

Often a client will change their requirements as the project develops. This is for two main reasons;

firstly as things move from abstract intangible ideas to a visible web property it becomes apparent that some things will work better than others and changes are instigated
secondly as the client becomes more familiar with what is possible online their vision of what their website will look like and how it will function is upgraded

Launch

The site launched and immediately began generating leads as it was a replacement of an existing site.
